if so prepare for a life of fun, sex, and success.
do you have bad genes? if so, prepare yourself for a life of struggle, anguish, frustration, and in general failure. any girl you happen to have sex with will be a fluke rather than from raw sexual attraction.
But my dad is a beta, how did he end up getting married?
the rise of marriage and civilization allowed the beta male to reproduce at alarming rates that were not seen before (and will never be seen again). today, ot-loungers, we have entered the era of the alpha - where women have every freedom to pursue their hypergamous desires without consequences. in time, the beta male, will become not existent.
such, ot loungers, is life. it is not fair, it is not right. it simply is what is.

You mean for the last 10000 years?
While there is some truth in the alpha/beta dichotomy, it's much more complicated than that. For example, the anthropologist Helen Fisher in the book Anatomy of Love theorized that human females differentiated other primates in that they don't have a specific mating period, as they are able to copulate more often. For this reason, Fisher speculated that human females mated contingently, hence why there are probably multiple mating strategies developed, and why those mating strategies were streamlined for the sake of civilization.
The various mating strategies of humans across time and cultures is interesting and unique, and I honestly don't think they can be distilled to the alpha/beta paradigm conclusively.

marrying a good-looking woman who also has great genes, is a subconscious evolutionary decision --- your future children will resemble you both, and likely be popular, attractive, athletic and successful.
