They sure seem to be more plentiful than usual this time of year. Recent rainfall and standing water or another cause?

Had a bunch in my lot the other day. It was pretty soggy but that blows in the middle of the day to have them swarm your legs.

Installed a misting system a couple weeks ago---lowers skeeter population by 80% or so!
And yes, it seems worse this year than years past.
