They can't get my coffee order right so I doubt this is much of a gamble on the part of Starbucks. The ones I've met aren't college material.

I did a case study on their CEO Howard Schultz. The man really really cares about his employees. The Starbucks business model is centered on employee satisfaction.

Gotcha. Article doesn't say. Just says they have to work at least 20 hours.

And it's only for ASU's online programs.

This philosophy could change America. Give an opportunity to youngsters possibly stuck in the minimum wage, service oriented, way of life. Can only hope more of corporate America sees the possibilities to contribute. Lot of talented kids out there that just need a little help to get out of the trend of their environment.

Don't they already have worthless fine arts degrees? That's why they work there.

I'm on board with it. An educated workforce is always better than a non-educated one. It's going to be hard to nab a job at Starbucks from now on too.

Michael Crow is a business genius.
