Altidore injury really hurts if he's out a while but hopefully these 2 being out helps even it out

I almost wanted Almeida to play. I think Eder might be better. Maybe Helder Postiga could start.

We knew Coentrao was going to be out, but this is huge because now he no longer overlap with Ronaldo. This will make Fabian's assignment a little more plausible.

If we can find a way to contain CR7 I really like our defense's chances against Eder and Nani's hollow shell.

Let's not cheer too much about players missing rare opportunities because of injuries.

Portugal are without a real like-for-like replacement for Coentrão, with right-footed André Almeida likely to fill in on his weaker side for at least Portugal's remaining group games against the U.S. and Ghana.

Sorry I'm not sorry. But I'm sure Cristiano will track back all game to help out his new partner on the left

4-2-1-3 let's do this
Chandler Cameron Besler Beasley
Beckerman Jones
Bradley
Fabs Dempsey Bedoya

I would assume Portugal is deeper, but it sounds like this game is going to be played in some heavy heat/humidity so all the injuries to both sides are going to be making some guys hurt by the end of that game.

If Chandler has not been working in training regularly at RB, JK is not going to play him there. Which sucks, because a Fab/Chandler right side makes a ton of sense versus CR7.

I haven't watched him much, but from what I have seen, he has no touch and likes reenacting the Somme.
