Yea, if it's such a great stock why is it on the OTC market. Alot of people seem to be touting it like LNG a few years back. The stock was worth next to nothing and then blew up. But then again, they actually had money coming in

Up about 9% this morning. Did any news come out about this project?

They can't have money coming in until they project is complete..... Its a speculative play right now.... But it projects as a big revenue producer based on logistics.

Hedge funds Third Point (Dan Loeb), Claren Asset Management and Baupost Group announced large investments yesterday, up 11% so far today. I took a flyer on a few shares at 2.17. We'll see.

Funny that this plant hasn't even broken ground yet and it hasn't even been decided to go ahead with the constuction of the plant or not, yet the shares are soaring lol!

It's obviously a spec play. May, might, maybe. But smarter money than me has bought in, so I bought a little. I'm ok with the risk/reward here. It's not for everybody.

Is it still worth buying even despite being up over 100% in the past month?

LINK

So today's close puts this company at a market cap of $760MM, or $100MM more than its private equity partner has committed for its 50% "assessed" ownership interest in the Magnolia project.

Can someone please show me a credible source that says where Loeb and the rest of the smart money has invested. I'm not buying some BS website from AUS. Needs to be a 13-F, or s credible US news source.

Yeah, nobody is even close to how far along Cheniere is. They've been working for over 2 years. They were making construction commitments prior to having their permits in hand. Nobody else has made that kind of commitment.

The next closest to begin construction would be Cameron LNG previously known as SEMPRA.

One of the biggest things that keep these sites from beginning construction prior to having permits in hand is the cost of site prep is much higher than normal facilities. This being due to the fact that most of them are on substandard ground and a long way from the existing borrow pits. That drives site prep pricing much higher than normal.

The Magnolia site sits on the dredge spoil that was deposited from the dredging of the turning basin for Trunkline LNG. That area will get really crowded if all of these facilities get built. You would have a large expansion of Trunkline, construction of G2X and Magnolia construction taking place at the same time.

Getting back to Magnolia, I read an article about LNG liquefaction plants and it stated that construction costs in the gulf coast were half to a third as compared to Australia. They've already done the feed for a sister project in Queensland and it seems as if they think they can utilize a lot of that info to shorten the FEED time.
