I remember as a kid I loved it.
Play red rover, football, drink cherry koolaide, eat watermelon and ice cream and learn about Jesus.
My kids are going this week.

Yankees participate in this?

I would think it is just more of a religious thing, no?

I see some up this way. Have no idea if they do the same things, but I'd imagine it's somewhat close.

Yes. I went to one every summer. It was fun, but obviously the Jesus part didn't resonate with me.

Probably, but aren't they mostly baptists? I have no idea, but I'd guess if they were it would most likely be a southern thing.

I grew up in an irreligious home. Iowa is up north, and deeply religious, though not on a militant level like much of the South.

Yes dipshit.
I mean people that aren't from the south.

I know you can't change a flat but Try to keep up.

I just hated how they made us sing in front of everybody at the end.

I didn't much care for it. Anything with the word "school" in it was unwelcome in the summer time.

I did all that stuff anyway. No need to go to VBS to do it.

Do you disagree with this perception? I've never seen so many Christian Fundamentalists anywhere else.

Places like the Southern US are what keeps the religious fervor high, it's where you always see stories originate in which some dipshit valedictorian invokes Jesus in his/her commencement speech. That crap doesn't happen in Chicago much.

Define Yankee? You mean people from Shreveport and Monroe?
