METAIRIE – Perhaps the raging argument of Jimmy Graham being considered a tight end or a wide receiver would have never started had New Orleans had more wide receivers playing like wide receivers last season.

Oh damn.

One way to look at it.

Well yeah. If he had less catches and less time at WR then he wouldnt have an argument. Our oline and recievers played pisspoor at times last year.

Hopefully our offense is back to normal next season. Payton has been back for a year and an offseason. It's time to leave the rust and the bullshite behind.

If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle.

Uncle Balls.

Or if he had the ability to block

Every time Graham is in the game, it's a pass 75-80% of the time. If he was able to play when we are in power running situation, he wouldn't be lined up split out or in the slot as much.

That's 1 thing that annoys me. He's not a good blocker, everyone knows that. So, instead of having him block as much as other TEs do, we take him out and put in someone that can hold their own while blocking. They are turning a flaw in Graham's game, only flaw he has, into him making more $$$ and being paid at a diff position. The only reason we don't have him on the line at the traditional TE spot is because he can't block. I guess we should have just kept him at the TE spot, let him get beat when blocking, expose his main flaw as a TE, and suffer the consequences as a team.

...and show up for the big games.

The Saints could get so much for him in a trade. I think it's a no-brainer.

Ian Rapaport of NFL Network is saying that a settlement is unlikely, but I wouldn't be surprised if the NFLPA get their arse kicked in this hearing, and Jimmy signs a deal by this weekend averaging around $10mil per year.

truth of the matter is they can't afford him at 12mil. Never will. Either the deal gets struck or he's gone. It'd be nice to have some affordable options in other areas as they move forward. Don't want the team to suffer so badly trying to fit his contract in. We all thought the teams suffered with Brees' contract, now what? I bet this scenario wasn't in Mickey's spreadsheet!
