Did you watch the ESPN postgame last night?

Dude has opinions, but he clearly loves American soccer and just wants it to the best it can be. He gets too much hate IMO. Of our 3 American soccer analysts that are in Brazil, you can tell that Lalas is the only one that guys like Ballack, van Nistelrooy and Gilberto respect.

Saw him being hyper critical of Bradley, focusing on the negative and being a dick...

I like him. He gives honest opinions and he isnt overly negative. He has a ton of positive things to say but he's not afraid to criticize when its warranted. People are so sensitive about broadcasters these days doing what they're paid to do.

ive only recently gotten into watching all the coverage and I havent noticed anything bad about him

I dont understand what you want? a guy to just go down the line of US players and say how great they are?

If you want sunshine pumping watch a baseball game with Rick Sutcliffe, he'll tell you how awesome everyone is

yeah rick sutcliffe is a perfect example of that type of broadcaster and those are the ones that are actually the worst.

He did not have a good game. Hopefully his passing gets better. He did hold the structure of the center of the field down though and force everything outside.

Bradley covered more distance by a Km than anyone else on our team and completed the most passes

Agree with the OP. He just comes across as a huge dick. Always questioning the other commentators and when he leans back in his chair he has an @sshole smirk that I can't stand. I can't complain because the coverage has been outstanding

Bradley played terrible so what is the problem? Alexi is a good commentator / analyst IMO.

I liked Alexi's comments after we beat Spain at the 2009 Confed Cup. He's not always a contrarian, it just seems that way sometimes because he's not a people-pleaser.

Yup. Lalas is at least interesting. Keller is vanilla and boring.

I like big opinions. Opinions are entertaining. I don't want some talking head saying how good we are. frick that.

You people bitch at how ESPN commentators are so biased and suck and are bland. Then you get one that's actually critical and you hate him.
