Here’s one hard choice Hillary Clinton isn’t making: saying “yes” or “no” to whether the U.S. should go ahead with the Keystone pipeline.

“I can’t respond,” the former secretary of state replied when asked the question by Canadian newspaper the Globe and Mail.

If she backs the project, she angers environmentalists who strongly oppose the pipeline. Panning it would split her from Democrats who do support it, like Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu and Sen. Heidi Heitkamp of North Dakota. The project has some labor support, as well.

The whole situation is made worse by new instability in the Middle East.

Middle east instability only intensifies and demonstrates the need for the pipeline.

Anyway, this is something you would never catch Bill saying. His wife is a horrible politician on the national level. All the sleaze and no charm or game.

When someone cannot publicly state she is in favor of something that is in the best interest of America, should that person even be considered a presidential candidate?

Exactly but I haven't heard a single Dem yet admit it.

Why rely on such a fragile region when the 51st state can provide stability and value?

If the pipeline was carrying ice cream Hillary Big Butt would be all for it.

She can't respond?

She's a complete joke. Being a woman and the wife of a former President are not qualifications for being a serious presidential candidate.

I know some here can't see it (yet), but she won't even win the Democratic Party nomination.

Or cash money.

She's all about the cash money.

Besides, she's broke.

I agree with this 100%. There's no way she is in the conversation come January.

If keystone were in place it would have no impact on pricing. It's irrelevant to events in ME. It should be built because there's no legitimate reason not to build it.

It's strange to think that Mary Landreiu would be a better candidate than Hillary.

ETA: not that I would vote for either one

Once built a lot of that oil will still be sold to china through the port of Houston. There's already too much oil sitting in tanks down there due to the lack of refining capacity.

Is it written down somewhere that it has to be refined in the US before it's shipped overseas?

Depends on where it's going.

If it's going to India, South Korea, or Singapore, it wouldn't need to be refined because India has the world's largest refinery at 1.2m barrels per day while South Korea has multiple refineries which total well over 2m barrels per day combined. Singapore can handle about 600K barrels per day.

Past that, they're probably better off getting it refined down here because four of the ten largest refineries in the world are in Texas and Louisiana, including Exxon in Baton Rouge. Those refineries combined can refine over 2m barrels per day.

Did anyone catch the "Watters World" segment on O'Reilly last night?

He interviewed a bunch of people in NY waiting to get their books signed by Hillary. Not one could name a single accomplishment of Hillary's.

They all mentioned her gender and alleged intellectual capacity as reasons she should run for President.

People really are stupid.

Thanks. cwill's blanket statement insinuating all oil had to be refined before being shipped is somewhat misleading.

Change "gender" to "race' and you've got the worthless sack of shite in office now.

I was waiting for some informed person to respond - her resignation.
