Are there any catches to this?

My wife and I both have cards from Capital One and we got this. We turned it on. Does not appear to be any catches. Not sure how legit the score is. The score updates automatically once a month. I tried using some of the simulations but I don't think they were working right. (I simulated what would happen with 12 additional months of on time payment and my score went down 10 points).

It looks to me to use the same algorithm as Credit Karma-I get the same score on both, but the score simulator doesn't seem to be exactly the same.

I have it on my Capital One card and there's no catches. Just don't expect the score they give you to be anywhere near your true FICO score. They use a different scoring model than the FICO scores. You can get a free monthly FICO score with the Discover IT or Barclay card.

If nothing else it seems like an easy way to make sure there aren't any line of credits opened under my identity.
