Well, just what it says...
2-3 employees
Seems Liberty Mutual wants to change drastically or get out of that biz, since they're discontinuing what I have...
Might as well shop around some.
Any suggestions for details to look for would be appreciated also.

I have always been a fan of how Amerisafe does business. They are Workers Comp only.

My husband's disability is through Farm Bureau ... workman's comp I couldn't tell you. It used to be LWCC but think he may have changed that also to FB.

Amerisafe is good but they are more specialized in what they write and I believe their minimum policy premium is $10K.
Given the OP's needs, I would stick to a cheap policy from one of the big names such as Zurich.

Get a good agent that knows your industry and let him shop the market

Yeah, it does make a difference if you're an oil rig worker, or an office worker on the worker's compensation.

This
Ask three or four of your competitors or those in related industries who they have their coverage written through.
Good luck.

For just 2-3 employees, and as long as you don't need a specialized policy, look into a payroll service that offers a blanket policy on top of doing your payroll.

I carry error and omissions and general liability 1,000,000/2,000,000 coverage and pay around 100ish a month. I upped my auto insurance to 100/300 and it went up like 60 bucks for 6 months.

Yours is specialized though and on fairly low volume stuff.
It depends on what he does but I know my G&L and comp on my contractors license is about 100 times as expensive as it was on my gas station for example.
I ended up switching to a payroll company at one point and it saved me money but I had to switch back to stand alone policies for a project I was doing that wasn't going to be under the umbrella of the payroll company.
Payroll companies really just help to cover the comp FYI. The G&L will be up to you usually since it's a bit more specialized.

what type of industry are you in? I work with a ton of carriers that write business in LA, Hartford, Amtrust, Travelers, Zurich, just to name a few. It all depends on your industry.
