This NBA Finals seems very eerily similar to 2004 Finals

Favored team splits first 2 games, then gets dominated for 3 straight to lose the series.

Pistons were a lot like this Spurs team. Well coached, talent and depth at several positions and bench players that contributed.

Lakers were lauded and expected to be amazing, Kobe sucked a big one while Shaq put up numbers like LeBron (scoring-wise).

Better "Team" just won.

In the end, the Spurs deserve this. Great team despite their crappy fan base.

The Spurs were the favorites in Vegas, but don't let facts get in the way.

Understood, but not by much and Vegas spreads are to encourage balanced betting, not predict winners.

That said, I simply meant it is unexpected how poorly the Heat/Lakers played in those series. Or in better words, how great the Pistons/Spurs played.

Doesn't mean the Heat/Lakers sucked.
