This is a failure on so many levels.
Starry idealism gets its butt kicked by hard nosed realism every day. This administration's neohippie mentality is nothing short of childish.
Yes Dorothy there are bad people out there that hate us mainly because we aren't them. All the pretty words won't change them or their attitudes.
Yes Dorothy walking away from the basket of snakes that is the Middle East without leaving a firm, functioning and reliable deep cover intelligence system in place is plainly stupid.
Yes Dorothy power, like nature, hates a vacuum so if you remove one power you must replace with it with another that is in your hip pocket.
Yes Dorothy you can't be on top of things if you isolate yourself and pretend that you and you alone are the font of all intelligence while blaming all of your shortcomings on others.

well if I was in BHO's shoes (2nd term around 40% approval) I would use air strikes and send in some advisors. Then once the attack is on tell Iraq unless there is a SOFA where american troops are immune from Iraq courts and Iraq will pay us for the costs or we stop the attacks. How many more times do we have to fail in the ME before we stop fricking with them? Seriously. From the end of WW2, to the creation of Isreal, to the Shah of Iran, to Afghanistan and Iraq, we have ALWAYS fricked it up.
I truly hate it from the people there. However, it's not our job to make the world a perfect place. Let's do something different this time: nothing. At least that's different and doesn't cost money/lives.
