Any good services to where I can use an app on my cell over my house wireless for home phone service?

Does anyone have any good experience with any cell boosters for home use?

M-cell will do the trick if you have broad band at home.

What carrier do you have. I have T-Mobile and I have bad coverage at my house but they sent a cell booster and now I have 4-5 bars

Just moved to a little suburb and experienced the same thing with ATT...crappy or no service. ATT sells the microcell, which you connect to your modem/router, and it creates a mini cell tower in your house.

They normally sell them for a few hundred dollars, but I called and complained to ATT and got it for free. It's 3g only...so slower speeds, but I now have full bars, when before I had one or zero and had to go out on my patio for phone calls.

IIRC, a company called Wilson makes one that also does 4G

I was wondering about something 4G.. I live right on a fringe area where it will pick up 3g decent but can't get 4Glte...

Then you're kind of screwed because unless you are able to pick up lte at your house, a signal booster won't change 3g into lte as far as I know. It will boost 3g coverage in your case

I found a couple but they were 400 and up.. Depending on the signal you get outside depend on how well it will boost your signal... I think I at least a bar or two of lte outside but don't have any inside my house...

I have ATT and so does the wife. I am mostly looking for something for the cell signal. I don't care too much about the data (home wireless) so I may call ATT today. I am mostly looking for something that will allow us to talk on the phone without 'what? You there' every other word.

Appreciate everyone's answers. I looked around at the Wilson products but was hoping to not spend $400-600.

It took a couple complaint calls because I was in an area that should have had good service, but Sprint eventually sent me an airwave for free

If I get a microcell, how and where do I plug it up?

I never used it. It wasn't at my house where I was having trouble with service, it was by this girl who I knocking down that I had problems, and by the time Sprint sent it, I wasn't messing with her anymore.

I do remember that it would improve data service, which I never understood because if you have wifi, why do you you need mobile data anyway. I'm pretty sure the one I have won't do LTE as Sprint was still using Wimax when I got it.

It's too bad that they can't come up with some kind of home phone service where you can actually have a phone that is dedicated for home use only.

I use an Airave at my house for Sprint. Boosts my signal coverage considerably in the front part of my house. Use my WiFi to get internet service on my phone. Works well considering.

Only issue is that I occasionally have to force my find to log in to the Airave.
