Morning Folks, would any of you have any good recommendations for lunch and dinner today/tonight with three kids? Last minute planning.
Young kids (all 6 and under)
I was thinking Cochon, but doubtful that happens.
Thanks!

Take them to Butcher for lunch. Its Cochon's kid brother and loaded with things like sandwiches and mini pizzas. Let them know if they are good, they can have a chocolate chip cookie. Which trust me on this, is probably the greatest thing served by the Link Restaurant Group.
For dinner, you could always try Camellia Grill in the Quarter (not sure what they are calling it now that they lost name in a lawsuit). Its a throwback 50s style soda fountain that kids really like. You could also try Domenica for pizzas and Italian.

Thanks. Did Butcher expand their restaurant or was that a dream? Place was so small if I recall

They expanded. Its about 4 times as large. In fact, now you can really tell just how damn small the old place was.

I would actually suggest Pizza Domenica if you're packing kids. Same great pizza but they seem more accommodating for children. It's Uptown so it's easier to get to.

Agree with this, although I don't have kids I feel like this would be a good place for them

Thanks everyone. My wife may kill me if we eat pizza again. Johnny's three times this week already. Haha

They have much more than Pizza. I got the redfish last week and it was excellent. The roasted cauliflower is incredible.

Domenica pizza is far from the same as Johnny's pizza and there are a number of other things on the menu if your kids don't want pizza and, particularly, for the adults. I love pizza and Domenica is so darn good.
I would also suggest Mandina's as a good casual family restaurant. The menu is huge so there's something for everyone there. Ride the Canal St streetcar to the restaurant which will entertain the kids. It's pretty noisy so you don't have to hush kids the entire time. Take a look at the menu online. It can get very crowded very quickly at meal times, so you might want a reservation unless you're going very early or a good bit after high time.
