QBs
Jay Cutler - This one is probably debatable as he was having a solid year prior to going down, but I predict he will put up gaudy numbers. He'll probably get hurt and I will look dumb. Prediction: 4600 yds 39 Tds 17 Ints

Tony Romo - He was always a pretty productive Fantasy player but I think he becomes elite under Linehan due to the volume of attempts he will get. Predicition: 4900 yds 41 Tds 18 Ints

RBs
Ben Tate - He was always pretty productive behind Foster. Now moving to another ZBS under Baby Shanny. Health is a concern. Prediciton 1100 yds 12 Tds

Devonta Freeman - I know S Jax is there but I would bet the house he doesn't make a full season. Freeman has little competition and the coaching staff has already embraced him. Prediction: 900 yds 10 Tds

Stevan Ridley - Looking at a contract year, and NE has not approached him about an extension, I expect him to get his shite straight. Vereen will pose a threat but health is his concern. I think Ridley's real threat will be White but I think that him being a rookie works in Ridley's favor. Prediction: 1200 yds 12 Tds

WRs
Aaron Dobson - Struggled with injuries but had a nice productive stretch in the middle of the season. I expect Brady to bounce back and with Gronk healthy it will keep the outside healthy for him. Prediction: 1100 yds 9 Tds

Kelvin Benjamin - Little competition in Carolina. I do not expect Olsen to exceed his annual 800 yds 7 td season and Benjamin will reap the benefits. They aren't asking him to do too much and has a huge body for red zone targets. Prediction: 900 yds 11 Tds

Kenny Stills - Nice season last year leading the league in YPC. I see the Saints offense being more dynamic and the passing game being spread throughout their talented pass catchers. Payton recently said they need to get Stills more involved. Prediction: 1200 yds 8 tds

TEs
Kyle Rudolph - All that really needs to be said is Norv Turner. He always has productive tight ends. See Jordan Cameron and Antonio Gates for examples. Prediction: 900 yds 14 Tds

LaDarius Green - I really like this kid but feel that as long as Gates is there and healthy he will hinder his production. Great talent in a good system. Prediction: 700 yds 8 Tds

Travis Kelce - Alex Smith does not throw downfield much at all. The coaching staff loves this guy but he has struggled with health so far. McGrath and Fasano put up respectable numbers as his fill in last year. Prediciton: 800 yds 9 Tds

All these guys have value ADPs. Hook me up with anyone you expect to be a solid fantasy provider.

Jeremy Hill. No homer here. I think he's a stud. 1100 yards and 15 TD

Hakeem Nicks(sell high week3 or keep) 26 years old
week 1 Sunday night vs Denver(Luck vs Manning) *likely shootout
week 2 Monday night vs Philly(fast pace high powered offense, Nicks had 16 catches for 200 yards on them last season) *likely shootout
Good bet for at least inflated numbers the first two games, so believe or leverage.

Kenny Britt(25 years old)-cheap with potential
Both Jeff fischer and Bradford love this guy, he will get every opportunity being that they have no one else to really take targets away from him if he's playing well...Min, TB, Dallas,Philly(all plausible)

quote:

Kenny Britt, the Rams have reason to believe he could emerge as their top receiver. Jeff Fisher said last week that the coaching staff has been "very, very impressed" with his former Titans pupil. And quarterback Sam Bradford told NFL Media's Michelle Beisner that Britt has been a standout in offseason practices.

"He was out here just talking back and forth with our DBs letting them know that he was going to beat them, and sure enough first two, first three routes are one-on-ones," Bradford said. "He runs two go-routes for touchdowns so his spirit, it's just been great for us."

Chris Johnson(28)- rumors of his demise have been exaggerated
First few weeks, OAK, GB, CHI..Defenses all allowed >100 yards rushing yards per game
injury prone, mediocre talents powell and ivory both had over a 4.0 ypc, NYJets ran it 493 times, and CJ would have no real competition for catches being that Powell has been demoted, and Chris never gets Hurt...so I see a bottom of 220 carries, 40 catches, 6 tds....will fall as 10th to 16th best in PPR, currently projected at 24th

Your predictions are awful, do you even realize how high your td estimates are?

Last years league leaders

Qb- (manning excluded) was Brees with 39

Rb- Jamal Charles with 12

Wr- Demaryimus Thomas 14

You have everyone on your list basically being a top 10 player at their positions, with the qbs being top 3

This is irrelevant.

Cutler and McCown combined for 32 Tds last year. 7 more touchdowns over a 16 game season isn't much of a strech in today's NFL. Two guys threw for 7 in one game last year. I also expect improvement in year 2 of Trestman's system.

Romo is moving into a new system which saw Matt Stafford pass for 41 Tds in 2011. If he can do it Romo can. This is the most talented and healthy group of pass catchers Romo has had in a while. Linehan will throw the ball, giving Romo a chance to rack up Tds. He also will probably rack up Ints though.

Ben Tate is still running behind a ZBS. The same scheme that saw Alfred Morris run for 16 Tds as a rookie behind a less talented line in Washington. With Tate's talent and the talent up front for Cleveland 12 tds isn't that far of a stretch. Health is what will stop Tate.

Davonta Freeman is probably a little high. The one thing I use to support this is that the Falcons will put themselves in positions to score. S Jax is old and fragile. A healthy and improved Atlanta line provides an upgrade as well.

Stevan Ridley produced a 1200 yd 12 Td season in 2012. Last year Blount and Ridley combined for 14 tds. As of now, it seems Ridley is the only early down thumper on NE's roster.

Aaron Dobson's Td estimiate isn't that outrageous. 12 guys scored 9 or more Tds last year with people like Marvin Jones and Jericho Cotchery being two of them. I fully expect Brady to exceed his 25 Tds last year. So lets say he throws 32. We'll take out 12 for a healthy Gronk. (Wishful thinking, I know.) That leaves 20 Tds to be spread throughout the rest of the pass catchers. 9 could easily be snatched by Dobson.

Kelvin Benjamin is pure speculation due to his situation. Newton has never had a player like him to use. Lafell was one of his bigger receivers but never produced. As stated in the OP I don't expect Olsen to do anything out of his norm. I fully expect him to catch 8 or more Tds and as stated earlier, with as much as the ball is thrown double digit Tds is always in reach.

Kenny Stills is steeping into the old Lance Moore role, which being a Saints fan I'm sure you knew. Colston is declining and I sense with the influx of talent at the position Payton is attempting to give Brees more legitimate options than Graham. Last year Still put up 5 tds with limited snaps. He showed good rapport with Brees and I fully expect that to improve in year two. If Moore could put up 1000+ yds and 6 tds in 2012. I believe still can exceed that.

Kyle Rudolph is in an excellent position to succeed. Norv's tight ends have almost always produced. His Td prediction is high, I'll admit but I see him as the most viable red zone option. Two years ago he caught 9 tds for what I assume was an inferior Qb in an offense that did not cater to him as this one will.

LaDarius Green can become a serious threat in SD as they lack a complement to Keenan Allen. I expect Allen to garner more attention this year opening the field for another pass catcher. Green, in my opinion, is SD's next best option. An injury to Gates and these numbers become much more attainable.

Travis Kelce is a wildcard. My support here comes from what was stated in the OP. McGrath and Fasano had 5 tds combined and Kelce is a vast improvement in terms of talent.

Of all my predicitons, I'll admit to the TEs being a bit overboard. I have defended each of them as best as I could though. I'm interested to hear the devil's advocate though.

Id be willing to bet none of those guys reach those stats you predicted

Not to say they can't break out, but those numbers are ridiculous

One of the former UT Volunteer WRs will emerge as a top-15 receiver, I just don't know which one.

I'm laughing because I was thinking the same thing. But then I thought, wow, if this happens, the average score of NFL games this season will have to be 42 to 35. That might actually be fun to watch.

Do you realize Nicks has no knees left and has a injuried hand every week. He's a walking "game-time decision, did not practice all week".

Britt is done. Doesn't have his head in football.
Both have tremendous talent but if you believe they will both "turn it around" all of a sudden you're fooling yourself.

Yeah because these guys putting up those predictions results in a league wide scoring uptick.

Cutler, Romo, Ridley, and maybe even Tate and Kyle Rudolph have already broken out on the NFLs radar and are legit fantasy players.

Newton still hasn't thrown a pass to him either.

he is missing in action from OTA's because he had surgery on his ankle.

he won't be ready until training camp.

maybe that makes a difference, maybe not. This is a big year for Cam though so I'd imagine he'll show something but just not right out of the gate. They lost their best O-lineman to retirement and they have an incredibly conservative play caller in Mike Shula.

rookie wr's usually don't do much either.

a spot starter at best?
