Anyone have any inside scoop regarding his recovery? Is he rehabbing so that he can try and come back?

I'd love to sign him as a nickel or dime corner. He'd be great in that role if he could remotely come close to how he played before the injury last year.

As awesome as Greer was for us during his time with us, he wasn't playing up to the level of his previous years with us before his injury last year. It's very likely that if he heals, he's the first CB we call if we experience injuries at that position like last year, but chances are that he's done. Without any injuries a CB, we really don't have a need or a spot for him.

He's a pretty bright guy that should have no shortage of post-NFL career opportunities.

We are stacked at CB. Wouldn't surprise me to see us sign him mid-season if a couple of guys go down like in the 09 season, but that would be the only way.

I think he could contribute to the team. I'd still put him better than Corey White at this point but I just don't know if he has any desire to come back.

I know he loves spending time with his family and probably has no shortage of opportunities for a different career in some capacity. He's a great speaker and a very good writer.

As of now, although it's still early, it looks like Lewis, Robinson, and Bailey are going to be our top 3 CBs. Any CB spot after that is likely going to have to contribute on special teams, which Greer wouldn't be able to do.

Um, what? After an injury like that he'll be fortunate to be running at 50% on that knee again. At least Corey White is still young and is approaching his prime.

I like Greer and appreciate everything he has done, but I highly doubt he competes in the NFL again.

they will probably have him on speed dial like mckenzie back in 09, we even brought in chris mcallister back then. definitely keep him in the loop if he's healthy and say bailey has a setback at some point or we just need help

I had ACL reconstruction two months ago and I am walking fine without a brace. Running , jumping and cutting is a whole different animal.

Mike D seems to be of the belief he'll be back at some point once the season starts
