World Cup is pretty meh to me as is soccer as a whole
Nothing worse than investing 2 hours of your day for a 0-0 tie
Such a boring sport. How the hell can you have a tie?
Oh well. Go USA

Without a doubt my least favorite sport. Cannot stand it.

This is an original thread topic.
Answer me this, are there exciting plays in football that don't result in a score? Be honest.

I agree, the NFL sucks, they should do something to stop that.

Then don't watch. Soccer is a beautiful sport. The more you watch, the more you will realize how impressive some small things are. It can be exciting even if a match ends 0-0. It's a beautiful sport.

It is terribly boring between the games.

Yes soccer is just a bunch of foreigners running around kicking each other or for the American kids who couldn't cut it In another sport

what does that even mean? How is it beautiful?

you would probably find it more interesting if you had played it and understood what was really going on
I enjoy watching soccer on occasion, but I'll admit that I do not know that much about the sport, and that does hurt my interest

In the same way that watching a QB that has perfect timing with his receivers is. You won't get it if you don't understand what you're watching.

Some of the precision play used and strategy is "beautiful". It's not just who is the strongest or fastest. There is more to it.
The same way a big baseball fan can see the beauty in a perfectly placed bunt, a soccer fan can see the beauty in a perfect give and go that sets up a first time shot on goal.

I used to not care for it, until I started watching the Champions League. Very skilled athletes.
I'm guessing your haven't watched many games.

they only allow ties in the group stage (the first round). Once you get to the single elimination stage, there are no ties. Most games are low scoring because the defensive talent is so great on the elite squads. The game actually flows alright because there are no commercial breaks interrupting play. Sure, it's not as fast-pased as basketball, where there are so many points scored that each individual bucket barely matters, but it can have its exciting moments. It's better than watching Major League Baseball or College Baseball on tv with the new bats.
