Congrats to that new recruit! Cam is looking for certain skill sets and I have total confidence who he wants to offer.

At the very worst thats quality depth, which we need badly. The dude has a big arm.

Nah. Probably just some dual threat depth. LSU is going in the direction of mobile QBs and right now they only have 2 on the depth chart. Cam offered after seeing him at camp. That means he stood out when it counted most. Best way to evaluate is not by how many stars. Its how they perform with the other high end recruits on campus for camp

Rivals listed both Jennings and Harris as Dual threats. So are you saying Cam wants a QB who doesn't fit that mold?

Comprehension, bro! Read what I posted. Just the fact of you adding this part (Rivals listed both Jennings and Harris as Dual threats) makes an even stronger case in the fact that they were both rated as Dual Threats.

The guy that just committed is rated pro-style by both. I am only stating what he was rated as. Not saying he doesn't fit any mold. Can you provide an example of a pro-style rated QB listed by two different outlets that was actually a dual threat QB, I can't

And being that we just had one of our more successful seasons on offense in the last several years using a pro style QB I would say Cam is fine with Pro style

Having escapability and being mobile are two different animals

Jordan Jefferson was rated pro style. He's the most dual threat lsu has has since herb Tyler. Cam said in an interview that they want the element of mobility at the qb position.

Just remember Drew Brees was also a Texas QB who was not highly rated locally and went to Purdue. Turned out to be pretty good.

Bro, I really don't care how these recruiting services rate these kids. I made a response to your response. My point is, if you are going to go off these recruiting sites, the new commit supposedly has a different skill set.

QB is the only position on the roster that I don't want different skill sets. Install your system and stick! Catering to your personnel is what you do in high school, not when you pick and choose your personnel. It ruins the fear of competition at the position.

For the record, I think this new commit shares the same skill set as the current QB's on Roster. The two who transferred out, didn't. Therefore, I like the commit

Well that's pretty much what I said in my post. Cam wants mobile QB's. All the ones he has brought in since being hired has been mobile guys. Not 5.2/40 times.
