no-show has a negative connotation. it's not jumping to conclusions to say that word implies he is somehow at fault for his absence.
considering Chandler's history with the USMNT (and a lot of fans assumptions on his prolonged absence from the squad), saying he's a no-show adds to that. just my opinion, i suppose.

The tweet doesn't say he wasn't "at" training. It said he wasn't training. He could have been there and been getting treatment, therefore, not a no-show.
