Figured we could use a story about a cop NOT hurting a dog.

quote:

She got the right policeman though. Harriman is described by his colleagues as an 'avid dog lover' and didn't hesitate to get in the water.

'We showed up at the water and saw the vehicle was submerged. We were told a dog was still in it so I did what I felt I should do - go in and get the dog,' he told the Boston Herald.

SIAP, did a Google search and nothing came up on this story.

Well, it's not new news, but it's new to here.

That's all I'm gonna say.

Drowning is no way for a dog to die.....did the cop shoot the dog once he got him on land? If not, not a real cop.......mall cop.

Cops do good things for people every day, all over the country. But those typically don't make the news. Which is why so many dumbfricks think 99% of police do nothing but beat down people's doors, arrest them, shoot dogs, and brutalize innocent citizens.

It's partly because of us being immersed in 24 hour news, but also largely because of how big government is getting in our lives and the endless laws and regulations that come with that, so people see the police as the long arm of an out of control authoritative state that is beginning to smother them. There's good reason for concern.

There's good reason for concern. Meanwhile though, the vast majority of America are much, much more concerned with the latest update to FaceBook.

of course, cops could quit shooting dogs and the problem would correct itself, but...

Most of my police interactions have been good. Probably because they usually involve large city police. In general, at worse they seem disinterested, probably because they've got actual crime to deal with.

Cops could also get a college education, stop being fatasses, and focus on areas in a city with the highest crime but it is just not going to happen.

But that doesn't mean it needs to be brought up over and over again
