He posted on FB that they are working on a senat highway bill. So use the #BayouTraffic and take a pic. I am sure plenty of pics of the new bridge will be on there.

Doesn't matter. If there's a lot of money to be spent, it will be spent on reducing traffic on i-10 because theres more Louisianians with money along that route. You know how Louisiana works, and it doesn't matter that they're already developing i-49 as a bypass for New Orleans traffic to take or that an i-10 bypass will cost more money and do less to alleviate the truck wrecks or the bottleneck.
It's no coincidence that they built the city's new Women's Hospital on the fringes of the parish but that the land is bought from a prominent political family and anchors their new developments.
So, in short - don't get your hopes up.
