And no one elevates you, elevates you now.

We did Grande for ours. Had an awesome time. Went to one of the restaurants at La Toc one night and it looked like a pretty cool place. But don't know much about it other than that. We had a blast at Grande but I'm sure you can't go wrong either way.

We can get a nicer room & extra day if we stay at La Toc, which is why we've changed our mind about the Grande

Sandles is for trashy people to be able to say they have been to the Caribbean.

I suggest reading recent reviews on trip advisor to help you decide... We went in 2012 and had zero complaints about Grande....But like I said, you really can't go wrong.

Just booked Secrets Silversands for our honeymoon. Never been to Mexico, so I have no experience to tell you about

If you are going to the Caribbean to see someplace "exotic" then you are in the wrong mindset to begin with.

Sandals are great for honeymoons bc after all the planning and bs of a wedding weekend its nice to just go somewhere and not have to make a single decision for a week. Agree about the part that going to one of them isn't going to allow you to see much, but I had no desire to plan a sightseeing trip and deal with having to decide what to do everyday after my wedding.

Stayed at La Toc. Thought it was really beautiful. Good restaurants (La Toc Restaurant- French cuisine, and a good Hibachi restaurant to just name 2). Did the Joe Knows Tour which was cool. Also has a english pub on the second floor overlooking the beach which I spent a couple nights in getting wasted. I remember watching LSU vs West Virginia in 2011 in there.
The drive to the resort is brutal but La Toc is a little closer than the Grande. If you can afford it definitely get a butler.
As nice as everything was however I could have had just a good a time at a Mexican resort for half the price probably.

I am at the grande right now on my honeymoon. It's awesome. I got a club level room but if I had to do it over again I would just do a basic room. I am going to la toc tomorrow for dinner so I'll get to see what it is like

^ This. It was nice, and we had a great time. Had the butler as well. The elevations at La Toc got old after a few days since we were staying up the hill.

If I were to do it again, I would go to the Grande. We visited there, and it seemed a little nicer. But, the good part about St. Lucia Sandals is you can visit all three freely.
