I'm 32, will be with my wife. There for 2 days business, 3 days pleasure. Probably could afford most things within reason, open to anything. Lollapalooza is there during our time but my wife not into it.

There are some great rooftop bars all over the city. I was looking forward to checking some out but our group got too drunk at other locations.
Eta: just remembered we went to Trump and had $24 old fashioneds. It was awesome.

cubs game, bars around wrigley, whirly ball, miracle mile, giordano's deep dish zaa, portillos hotdog, wharf, dry aged steak.

Howl at the Moon (piano bar) is pretty neat. Other wise it's hard to not find something compelling down the magnificent mile.

I know everyone mentions museums, but the Field Museum and the Art Institute of Chicago are both awesome.

The architecture boat tour is awesome, would for sure do that.
Should do one of the tall building observation decks at night also, I did the Hancock center before dinner one night and got some cool pics.
Have fun, its a cool city.
