I think we need to take the focus off of this and put it onto something that is actually important...something that matters. No one has given a shite for how many years? Why all of a sudden in the last 4 months has this become an issue?

Redskin was never a derogatory term. In fact, it was a badge of honor. The name came about by a group of native American football players who played for the Redskins near when the team was formed. They came up with the nickname and it stuck. They should not be forced to change it by anyone unless the Redskins' organization decides it wants to.

Are they going to make all the colleges, high schools, middle schools, rec leagues etc change their name? They need to get over it....and go REDSKINS!
