LSU wins another national championship

Congrats to LSU 6 members Cole Landry, Mickey Quigley, and Kyle Katich for winning the Jackson Kayak CKF Saltwater National Championship! LSU is now 2 for 2 in this event! Cole Landry also took 2nd place individual.

Defending champs LSU 3 members Jacob Cormier, Shane Pantoja, and Ryan Lauve placed 2nd at the event while defending individual champ Shane Pantoja took 3rd place individual. Third place team for the tournament was wrapped up by Lamar University.

The event was based out of Everything Kayak in Gulfport, Mississippi. We were excited to learn on Friday night that Southern Way Charters had volunteered to mothership the competitors to Cat Island. These guys were top notch and took all 22 competitors, kayaks, and our gear out in two trips on Saturday, and 16 guys out in one trip today. The fishing was tough and the seas a bit rough but everyone had a blast out at the island. I would recommend one of their charters to anyone looking for a little adventure.

We give our thanks to all the BCKFC members who have supported us along the way. This was my last year to compete and I'm excited to cheer LSU to a three-peat next year!
