Bought it the other day and just got around to watching it. I remember watching it when I was younger, and I still got excited every time they took off on the horses or cracked the whip.
It's got romance, action, and a little comedy relief.
The music is fantastic as well.
If you get the chance, watch it.
Trivia from IMDB
Tom Burlinson had never ridden horses much before making this movie and when he took Denny over the cliff to go after the brumbies that was a one-take shot at full gallop down the cliff face. (That looks like a different language, if you haven't seen the movie)

The sequel is really good too.

That was one of the first, if not THE first movie my dad ever took me and my brothers to.

I love this fricking movie. I watch it every time it comes on. Classic.
On a separate note, Gallipoli is another good movie. It's an Australian centric film.

Awesome movie. A good friend who recently died gave me a copy our second year of law school. I had forgotten about it. Thanks for the reminder.

Takes huge balls to go down a hill like that on a horse.

One of my favorite movies when I was a kid, still good.

One of the most underrated GOAT movies. Great stuff!

The score, for me, should be as recognizable as Chariots of Fire. Great, great, movie.

Still a great movie.
I remember seeing it in the theatre when I was a kid.

Like you guys I remember watching this when I was young. Haven't seen it in years but being the big Kirk Douglas fan that I am I need to watch it again.

same here
I watched it again recently and still thought Jessica was ugly as hell, just like I did as a kid

Great movie. Love the riding scenes, especially that first back-breaking leap down the mountain-side.
But I also always have to watch for the continuity error: there is an obvious cameraman standing in the background of that snowfield interlude during the big chase sequence...
