Why didn't Parker get fined or Manu?

He oversold it and it cost him $5k. Justified fine IMO.

5th flopping fine of this post season. Only six flopping fines were handed out during this regular season.

Even NBA executives don't watch most NBA regular season games.

It was a foul, but he still flopped. No problem w/ the fine.

You think Wade gives a flying frick? That it nothing.

FYI, that's the equivalent of a person who makes $60k/year getting fined $16.

What does it take to get a fine? Surely there have been tons more than 11 flops this year

And this, these fines aren't doing anything to stop guys from flopping.

I'm not sure what the NBA's line of thinking is with the fines. Such small ones like this one certainly won't change anything.

I hop they get serious about it and start suspending.

For people saying $5K doesn't affect Wade, consider that he could've bought a new custom Versace shirt with that money.

For the less than informed posters that are complaining about the size of the fine, there is a scale for the fines (during the playoffs, the regular season has a different set) that cannot be superseded:

Violation 1: $5,000 fine
Violation 2: $10,000 fine
Violation 3: $15,000 fine
Violation 4: $30,000 fine
If a player violates the anti-flopping rule five times or more, he will be subject to discipline that is reasonable under the circumstances, including an increased fine and/or suspension.

They probably didn't want to make the fine scale too high in fear that the CBA would be violated (that's just a guess on my part).
