It was on my back porch yesterday morning and again this morning. It has a head like a hammerhead shark. The body is flat and its colored on one side. Stretched out it is around 8in. It moves slow but if you touch it, it finds another gear. Also it coils and rolls like a snake when you mess with it.

Yeah you need to kill that with fire.

A quick note as per the use of vinegar. It is an immediate and effective way of totally demolishing a planaria! I tried sort of bunching up a planaria in the palm of my hand and added three drops of cider vinegar. There was the equivialant of a knee-jerk reaction and it was all over! I touched the former planaria and it was literally a mass of mush! The vinegar apparantly totally disrupts the cell walls of its outer mucous membrane like exterior so that it is no longer an intact functioning group of cells...thus the mass of goup left over!

I was just doing a bit of reading about those things, and apparently they are horrible for your gardens. They'll eat all your earthworms. You might want to find a way to get rid of them.

so play with it with fire then kill it slowly piece by piece with vinegar.
