(In Florida) Would it be normal procedure or even possible for someone to be charged with criminal contempt of court and get probation for it?
We are talking at least 5 months worth of probation, because said person was thrown in jail for violation of probation that far out from the initial charge.
judge threw him in for almost two months too.
there has to be more to this situation right?

seems right. you get probation for the charge at least 6 months of it and he violated it. sounds right to get 3-6 months for the probation violation.
call the prison and see what his charges are.

I think florida has a pretty good website for tracking inmates (used to check on cecil collins every once in a while)...I would see if you can find him there...
