Seems a creation of a live music tax credit that works like the film tax credits has been expanded under Jindal.
How in the heck did we ever have live music in Louisiana without tax subsidies I wonder.
Is there any subsidy Jindal will not end??

Not even Obama would suggest paying filmmakers 35% of their expenses!! but if that is what it takes to get La to end them I wish he would.

As if there would be none without subsidies. On second thought probably not in your neighborhood. Nobody there wants to pay their own way.

The government backing off and letting people keep more of their hard earned money is a good thing.
The government having the power to pick winners and losers with this method, is a bad thing.

You don't seem to understand the difference between a tax break and a subsidy. Let me give you an analogy:
Subsidy: My son wants to buy a new truck. I give him $1,000 to apply toward the purchase.
Tax Break: A thief breaks through my window once a month and steals $200. He leaves a note saying that if I just leave the door unlocked he'll only steal $100.
Subsidy: My son wants to buy a new truck. I give him $1,000 to apply toward the purchase.
Tax Break: A thief breaks through my window once a month and steals $200. He leaves a note saying that if I just leave the door unlocked he'll only steal $100.

Not being Afrocentric doesn't make it any less of a cultural event.

As someone who's not remotely a fan of country music, I will still concede that country music certainly represents a culture. How do you define culture?

This is extremely important.

Why? Do you think any business should receive from the state 35% of their expenses????? Not a reduction in taxes mind you but out and out cash payments?

You don't seem to understand that these so called credits are just like giving your soon $1000 EXCEPT you make the choice to do that. Politicans and Jindal have decided you WILL give these people the money. It has nothing to do with their taxes. It is out and out cash payments.

Wrong. I make the choice to give my son money without any coercion. Taxes are coerced under penalty of death.

Wrong. They are NOT giving them money. Read your own link. There is NO grant. There is NO subsidy.

Damn, you're dumb. This is about the 1,000th post on this and you still conveniently confuse tax credits with tax breaks.
Give me $10 billion in tax credits and see how that works out for you.
