I bought a used trailer from a guy a year or so ago and he gave me the run around about the title.

Fast forward to present day and I am now trying to sell my boat and that trailer.

The guy I bought it from directed me to the guy he bought it from and needless to say no title.

How hard is it to aquire a lost title and where do I need to go?

In Arkansas, I went to the office and registered a trailer as a "homemade" trailer, and they assigned it a number and title.

You have to get the last titled owner to go to the DMV to get a title. Yourself, you can't apply for it unless you have a notarize bill of sale from the last title owner.

Call your local State Police Troop and they will get you with a trooper to get the tongue stamped with a number and it will be titled as homemade. Easiest route and legal.
