No one in the western hemisphere knew what a wheel was until the Europeans arrived.

Think about that.

They didn't know what smallpox was either until the Europeans "gifted" them with their infected blankets.

Think about that.

We've got plenty. They have more land than they did before the white man arrived.

I never understood this logic. The land changed hands hundreds of times for thousands of years before we got here. That's what civilizations did prior to and through the 18th century. Wars set and reset boundaries.

Why arbitrarily reset the boundaries circa 1800-and-whatever? Why not 1500? 900? The year 4 b.c.?

I feel no responsibility for what some people did before I was born.

This guy defined 10,000 US troops remaining in Afghanistan to continue engaging in "lethal counterterrorism operations" as "10,000 NATO advisors."

I'm not arguing points with someone who is clearly insane.

The indians didn't even have horses, much less wheels, before a few got away from the Spanish, but the whole plains indians on horses is presented like it is some sort of ancient tradition.

That's what cracks me up about people who get all weepy about the wild mustangs - they are an invader species that white man turned loose on the continent. If you are a true green enviro kook you shouldn't want them here.

They didnt know about smallpox, typhus, pertussis and measles either.

Why people cant just admit what we did to the indians was largely horrible while still being proud of their country baffles me. You dont have to ignore what we did to love America.
