That won't be the case on the postseason lists

There are a lot of really good backs in the conference this year. I dont think its a snub to put a true freshman behind them.

Pretty fair to me except Rashard not being on any list. I think outside of VH3 I wouldn't take any other CB than our two.

Agreed. I would easily put RR ahead of Everett.

I think the biggest omissions are Jalen Mills and Danielle Hunter.

Jerald Hawkins also deserves a mention. Aside from his matchup with Chris Jones last year vs. MSU, he was a real good tackle.

Terrence Magee and Dillon Gordon don't put up flashy enough numbers for the All-Conference teams, but they are damn good football players.

Why the frick are they rewarding a guy that has never played for LSU yet? Also, 4th team? Really?

Hard to predict who will be "All-SEC" before the season. The decision to put Fournette on any list might be jumping the gun at this point.

Our best draft eligible players are Collins and Alexander. I think Danielle Hunter will blow up this year and end up being a pretty high draft pick (2nd-3rd rd.). Beyond that, I think Steele is pretty accurate with his picks of Rasco (a middle rounder, as a slowish DE) and Kwon Alexander (an undersized LB).

Our best non-draft eligible players (excluding newcomers) are White, Robinson, Lacouture, Beckwith, and Harris, in my opinion. I might even add Jefferson to that list. I'm basing these claims on pure ability and not actual performance. They are still learning at this point.

BTW ... this is my first post back from banland. Feels good to be back!

Reid Ferguson made Steele's Second-Team All-America.

He's got La'el Collins on Third-Team Offense.

Jerald Hawkins

Agree with Mills and Hawkins, also. Hawkins could be the next Trai Turner - a RSSO who makes the leap and gets drafted in the middle rounds.

Mills is a serviceable, do-it-all DB who can cover the slot, blitz, and play safety. Some team will pick him up in the middle rounds, too.

I didn't know that putting a guy on 4th team preseason All-SEC was rewarding him...
