Any Lake Chuck gyro lovers out there, give this place a try, much better than Zeus IMHO. They also have various kabobs in the meat case cooked to order. Lamb chops, chicken tikka, daal masala
Located on Common across from McNeese parking garage.

I was literally afraid to go in this place for fear of instant diarrhea, but I guess I'll give it a try at your recommendation.

Yeah I tried toga grill, again I got a gyro and just wasn't impressed. I may give it another shot and try something else on the menu.
Amos I'm feeling fine, but I know what you mean. They actually had a decent amount of traffic going thru which is encouraging. My dish came with rice which was very spicy and had some sautéed onions in it. Pretty tasty.

Is it a sit down and eat place or order to go?

It's sit down, nothing fancy though. I think they just reopened after a remodel. Eye pooted the menu seems a combo of a few different cuisines.

The Goat Curry is pretty legit. Could be a little spicier, but the flavor was good. Chicken tikki masala is real good as well.

Their samosas are great. Thursday I had the lamb chops grilled....6 rib chops for $10 with a salad. Can't beat that!

Jamaican place is Taste-Rite 337-419-1844, 2305 Opelousas Street, across from the Exxon on Opelousas and I-10. The jerk chicken I had was good, a little dry. The ox tails were very good. I think they are closed Sunday and Monday.

Tikka boti, goat curry, and biryani are pretty solid. Wife and I swing by once a week to get our indo-pak fix. Pretty consistent too.
