Wasn't he the king of the Atlanta AAU circuit connections? Or was that someone else?

Yea it hurts….Unless LSU get an actual bench coach

Well if you consider recruiting the Greater Atlanta area a priority, yea it hurts.

But LSU has to many "recruiters" and not enough actual coaches, so hopefully this makes room for one.

I have mixed emotions.

CoachD (I think that's his name?) on here usually posts good stuff and said he wasn't of much use.

i am just a little disappointed we weren't really mentioned with any 2014 guys in the Atlanta area. You have to think he was after those guys while at UCLA too. I am just going to wait and see who Johnny hires.

He wasnt as influential as ppl think but then again he was here just one year.

I do know the players loved him.

I posted a comment over on the rant but I like this board better so here.

It's simple, they didn't mesh. He wanted to be involved and I don't think Johnny trusted him enough to turn a lot over. The next hire will tell me a lot about CJJ.

IMHO he has to bring in someone he trusts to give the team a direction on the court (yes you can call him and x/o guy). Someone that will say this is who we are and this is how we're going to do it. Too often we get caught playing someone else's game and that's more to do with us not have a real identity. I think he wants to be a pressing up tempo team but doesn't seem sure how to do it at this level successfully.

Oh, hmmmm. I know all those kids quite well. Coached most of them at some point or another.

I'd say a few have D1 Football Potential but not basketball.
