He'll be on ESPN 1420 in Lafayette this afternoon to apologize. What a pussy. Stand by your comments.

Funny thing is, I didn't read a bunch of complaints from JSU people or SDSU people. Guy reeks of the butthurt after his team got bounced by a lowly Sunbelt team that lost to Jackson State. If you want to have a good time and enjoy yourself, you can do it. If you're a miserable person, you make up a bunch of shite to bitch about.

Sports Journalists today are terrible.

It's all about who can be the most witty on twitter, rather than just conveying information that fans aren't privy, too.

I find this really interesting. I was at the Tigue last weekend and the Miss St people I talked to seemed to be enjoying themselves.

There are some ridiculous ULL fans, but I would estimate that only be about 10-15% of the fan base and unfortunately those are the most outspoken. Maybe he encountered some of them.

For the most part everything seemed pretty civil. I wonder if he went into the weekend with the mindset that he was going to hate Lafayette before he even got there?

Regardless, like I said earlier, from my experience everyone seemed to enjoying themselves and acting in a civil manner.

This will not end up going well IMO.

He hates Lafayette, so what? And would people care if he hates Lafayette?

Most likely. Pissed about having to go to a Sun Belt Stadium, even more pissed off about having to play at the home of a host who lost to Jackson State game 1, Butthurt when his team lost 2 straight to that team.

ETA: Like I said, if you're not a totally miserable person and a dick to be around, you can have a good time. Sounds like he was looking for every reason to bitch and was determined to be miserable.

Actually not too many people in Lafayette have a cajun dialect. You have to go out into rural Acadiana for that.

This.
Lafayette is big city and has lost a lot of Cajun dialect in the past 40 years. New Iberia still has it. But then, New Iberia is also a big city by Cajun standards. You need to go out to Lydia, Morbihan, Jeanerette and Loreauville to really hear it.

Nah - he was not happy with the media accommodations he felt entitled to that he apparently wasn't provided.

Yeah he made up a bunch of shite to sound cool. Talking about panhandlers and stuff. There's like one corner where people beg and it's right off the interstate. Then talking about people practicing some sort of turkey call or something in a hotel parking lot... They were probably Mississippi St fans since, you know, locals don't usually live in hotels.

If you're going to be a troll and make up shite to get popular, don't be a pussy when confronted.

Shouldn't be unless OM fans are buying into the noise from butthurt state fans and expect that they'll be treated like shite. For the most part our fans are happy our team is hosting and have been welcoming to other fans.

The only hot button issue has been tickets. There's not many available for visitors but many of our own fans aren't happy with the ticket situation either. There's not priority point system with RCAF which means season ticket holders are being bumped in favor of those willing to pay the highest price. I'm a student and we're so low on the totem pole, we're the part buried in the ground.

i think its gonna be a war, but in the good way you would want to. party outside the stadium together, but once your in the stands, cheer loud and hard for your team, and give the opposing players a good sportsmanship heckling.
