Rodon wants money. Hopefully he will fall and do like Appel and not sign

Maybe there's something I don't know about him

He had a velocity drop in midseason. But, asking full slot and having Boras can cause drops.

Supposedly he wants 1-1 money regardless of where he is picked

You have to be 21 on the date of the draft I think to be eligible as a D1 guy

Or just four year university. And you can be 20 and have completed your junior year and be eligible as well. It's three years or 21 years old

I think the White Sox take Jackson here and Cubs will jump on Rodon.

Dealing with Boras must be like dealing with a walking talking version of AIDS or something.

I think that was a non issue really, it was like that in February and March and pitched all year like the pros, kinda like Major League pitchers not having their velocity in spring training

I'm cool with Kolek over Rodon, If things go well then a Fernandez, Alvarez, Eovaldi, Heaney, Kolek rotation sounds nice on paper.

Yeah, I don't think it was a big deal either, but not coming off slot, teams can point to the velocity issue as to why they want a discount.

And there he goes to the White Sox
