Do you believe in Freemason/ Bilderberg group etc conspiracy theories?

I have a friend who is obsessed with these theories and his newsfeed is an interesting but scary list of the different theories:
Freemasons control drug companies and don't want to give a cure to cancer because they plan to trim the world's population
Every city has a G and compass in its map
Every war = Freemason profit
Obama = new world order controlled by Freemason industrialists.
Etc. Etc.

Tell him that "a drug to cure cancer" is like "a wrench to fit all bolts." The Bilderberg conference is going on now in Denmark. They're a group of some of the most powerful men in the world so naturally anything they do will effect a lot of people. I don't think they have any nefarious goals though.
