I felt this as well--and just about equaled the feeling I had on the evening of January 9, 2012.

They will have trouble hitting, base running and thin on pitchers

We'll miss this guy's defense at 3B.

Yep. Outside of Nola, this is the toughest piece to replace IMHO.

If we can get Marshall to Baton Rouge, I truly believe we're Omaha caliber. Especially if Newman and Reynolds can come back strong. I really like what we have coming back and our young core of hitters and pitchers.

They'll miss the postseason next year, or just barely make it, and get knocked out wherever they are sent in the sub-regional.

We won't know more till we see which of our recruits make it to campus, but I would guess we will be top 3 in the SEC, host a regional and be in contention for a top 8 national seed for the 4th straight year.

Pitching may be slightly down losing our two best arms in Nola and Broussard

hitting will be way up could be as good as the 2012 offense. I say around 45 wins going into the post season.

frick YES

That will be a major pickup. This recruiting class has a lot of talent if we get who we think we get.

I wonder if Deichmann could play 3rd? Long shot...could or would Breg be moved to third with Deichmann at Short?

Deichmann is not taking over Bregman at short. He'd play 3rd. Ibarra was a SS I believe and Bregman still held the position as a true freshman.

318: Indeed they do.
