If Houston wins today against LSU, will Texas host the Super Regionals next week?

I think it goes down to the bidding process.

They should give it to Houston, because those guys deserved to host in the regionals in the first place.

Texas has the Richest athletic program in the country. Houston will get screwed again, and Texas will host the Super Regional. Watch.

As ridiculous as it may sound, don't they play in Baton Rouge?

I wouldn't doubt it.

Houston will probably beat them either way.

Nope. National seeds don't host if they're eliminated.

Garrido is a drunken arse. Another reason to hate UT.

The committee meets tonight to decide. If it comes down to RPI then Houston will get it. It's one of many factors.

Maybe Texas should hope Houston hosts. Texas hits fifty points better on the road.

Houston has the populace. I wouldn't count them out of hosting

Many factors weigh in Houston's favor. RPI and knocking off a national seed being the top two. Stadium size, strength of schedule in a better conference are in Texas's favor

Probably but I don't think Cougar High has a big stadium so tix will be in demand. Coog fans might snap em up.

Would Coog High try to go to Corpus or someplace else in effort to get away from Austin?

ETA: There was a rumor once that Texas wanted to use the Hooks yard to host something was happening at the Disch.

No way they would allow that. I'm sure the bid they submitted was for Cougar Field anyways

Honestly I don't know how it works exactly so don't know if they could. Houston's best chance for having a 50-50 fan split is at their home park. Any other field in the state and it's going to be 90% Texas fans.

ETA - I think The Leg is right that you have to submit your bid pre-regional.

Coastal Carolina always host in Myrtle but do not play there. I know Purdue did same thing two years ago also.

I believe that Purdue hosted in Gary actually.

ETA:

It was at USS Steel the teams were Purdue, UK, Valpo and Kent it was paired with Oregon for Supers. Kent went to CWS that year actually.
