Slow pitch softball rant

1) If you insist on playing 3rd(or anywhere in the infield for that matter) be prepared to make a routine play every now and then. 1 out of 5 or 6 is not gonna cut it
2) Put your best players in the infield. Its not hard to catch a fly ball.
3) If you suck, everyone already knows it. Just play catcher and accept it or get better. Never let a decent fielder play catcher when you know you should be.
4) Outfielders, quit giving the other teams free bases by trying to gun out everyone. Runners on 1st and 2nd is 1000x a better defensive situation than runners on 2nd and 3rd after you wildly threw a ball against the backstop trying to gun out a helmetless 50 yr old man with three children.
5) Baserunners, quit being morons and running into outs. Its almost never worth a close play considering the guy from point #4 is throwing out his arm trying to be a hero and probably is gonna break the back of your skull.
6) When you are up 10+ runs against a team you know cant come back, dont be a jackass. Quit taking bases and trying to be Pete Rose.
I promise, if you follow the points in the my rant you will instantly be a better slow pitch softball player and your team will thank you for it.

Disagree. Aggressive base running generates a lot of errors and runs.

Not getting drunk on a monday night. I really dont take softball that seriously, that said, im also competitive and dont like losing. Losing isnt fun.

Ill agree that in certain circumstances being aggressive is not bad. That is assuming that the baserunner is reasonably athletic and knows what he is doing.
My point should have been dont be stupid on the basepath especially if you are player that doesnt hit that well. If there are no outs with decent hitters coming up there is no reason to try and sweat out a close play at the plate. 0 reason
