Dream Scenario:
1) Trade Gordon and 2015 1st for Asik (3 way with Monroe or Smith going to Houston, Gordon, 1st and Motiejunas going to Detroit).
2) S&T Aminu and Brian Roberts to Denver for Wilson Chandler or S&T Aminu or Smith to Clippers for Jared Dudley
3) Resign Morrow with part of MLE.

Realistic Scenario:
1 & 2) Trade a combinaation of our end of bench guys (Babbit, Ajinca, Withey), our own S&T FAs (Aminu/Roberts/Smith), voidables (Melvin Ely) and Pierre Jackson for Jared Dudley and Kosta Koufos.
3) Resign Morrow with part of MLE

1. Gordon/Anderson for Monroe package
2. Sign Ariza into new cap space from Anderson
3. Sign Morrow with mini MLE
4. Bring up Pierre Jackson
5. Sign any other FA guys such as Aminu and Babbitt to minimum deals.

Core of Davis, Holiday, Evans, Monroe, Ariza, and Rivers through at least 2016/2017. Current average age of the core being 23 years old.

I am starting to jump on the move Ryno bandwagon myself only because of the 1 reason. It sucks, cause I thought he was invaluable going into last year.

1. Move EG+Ryno for Monroe and get him to sign
2. Sign Jordan Hill or DeJuan Blair for PF depth
3. Sign Gordon Hayward to start at SF
4. Sign Thabo Sefolosha to be a defensive/3pt SG
5. Fire Monty and hire George Karl

Line up:
PG: Jrue Holiday/Pierre Jackson/Austin Rivers
SG: Thabo Sefolosha/Tyreke Evans/Austin Rivers (Sef starts out with the starters and gives some 3pt shooting, but reke plays the 30+mpg and give our bench some scoring help)
SF: Gordon Hayward/Luke Babbitt
PF: Anthony Davis/Jordan Hill
C: Greg Monroe/Jeff Withey

1. Keep Ryno unless a some unimaginable deal is possible (not for just Monroe or Asik)
2. Find a way to trade Gordon for a serviceable 3
3. Sign Morrow

I'm starting to see a pattern emerge regarding our cornerstone.

I agree with Asik, but Monroe is a player who would probably enjoy New Orleans, be a player who could be signed long term, can be a PF/C, and could be the type of talent to help keep Davis interested in playing in New Orleans for his career.

I'd love to have Monroe, and agree he could possibly love playing here and sign here long term (hopefully at a discounted rate.) However I do not feel Monroe's talent is worth getting rid of Anderson, IF Ryan is his pre-ijury self.

Would trading Gordon/Anderson for Monroe/Ariza be worth it?

I would hope if we traded two legit starters than we would be able to bring back cap space. Plus that package to Detroit is an absolute perfect fit for their roster.

Anderson is only under contract for another couple of years also. I like Anderson, but reallocating money to positions that better compliment Davis makes more sense.

1. Mega deal.. Evans/Anderson/Rivers/3 future 1st round picks to the Wolves for Love/Brewer.
2. Re-sign Morrow and Smith
3. Sign P. Jackson to a contract
4. Pick-up M. Miller

Holiday/Jackson
Gordon/Morrow
Brewer/M. Miller
Love/Smith
Davis/Withey

Top 3 seed in the West. Really no weakness, just need experience playing together..
