Now that Rivers and Rettig will not be returning next year, who are our remaining QBs and how would you say they rank among one another? Obviously its Brandon Harris and Anthony Jennings battling for the #1 spot, but who do we have after that?

Quarterback Depth Chart

From Dandy Don' Website:

quote:

Turning to football news, yesterday I heard from a lot of you about LSU’s quarterback depth now that Hayden Rettig will be transferring. Along with Steven Rivers, Rettig is the second scholarship quarterback in the last few months to announce he’s transferring, and without those two LSU is down to only two scholarship quarterbacks on the roster - sophomore Anthony Jennings and freshman Brandon Harris. Rob Bolden, who transferred to LSU from Penn State as a quarterback, was moved to wide receiver this spring to add depth there. LSU does have three quality walk-on quarterbacks in Brandon Bergeron, Jake Clise and Brad Kragthorp, but having only two scholarship quarterbacks, both of whom will be taking lots of hits as dual threats, is a bit concerning. Of the three walk-on QBs, the one that appears to have the most potential to step in and play, if needed, is Bergeron. The former prep standout from my hometown of Lafayette (St. Thomas More High School) played last season for Highland Community College in Kansas where he threw for 2,978 yards and 22 touchdowns with only nine interceptions. His completion percentage of 70.7% (282-of-399) was first in his conference.

There isn't much, but most big time programs are not going to have a good third stringer. Unless there is two seniors and a highly touted freshman then yea. We are set at QB for years especially after Felipe Franks commitment

You are only two major injuries away from that third string QB being the starting QB. I am also concerned about the depth on this position. Just hope the two scholly ABs stay healthy.

Name me a team that wouldn't be in deep shite if they were down to their 3rd string QB. Walk-on or not, that guy's going to shite the bed.

Some times 3rd on the depth chart is a necessity.

Maryland was down to their 6th or 7th QB a couple years ago.
