How long would you keep Justin Verlander on your roster? Would you cut him or just bench him until he comes out of his funk? Or is it a permanent funk?

If you don't want him anymore you trade him or bench him. Cutting him would be a terrible decision.

Trade him. There is 1 guy in your league who still thinks he is justin verlander of old.

Who would you pick up in his place?

Obviously is someone better is sitting out there then maybe. But if you're dropping him for roenis Elias or some shite then nah

What's the scouting report on Elias? Watched him pitch yesterday for the 1st time. Looked good shutting out Detroit, even though it was the last game of their road trip.

I traded him over the weekend for Homer Bailey and Jesse Chavez. Both won their games this week, so it's working out so far I guess. But knowing my luck, Verlander will throw a no-no tomorrow.

Velocity doesn't solve every mystery of the mound, but consider Verlander's fastball trend from 2010 to today, it's troubling:

2010: 95.4 mph
2011: 95.0 mph
2012: 94.3 mph
2013: 93.3 mph
2014: 92.2 mph

Add this to an on pace for career high in walks.
