Outside of Bedoya, we have no speed on the wings

If we are running a system that has our LB & RB push up as far as they do, we need speed from the outside midfield to cover for them. Zusi & Davis did a terrible job of tracking back when Fab & Chandler pushed up on the attack.

Green has the speed, but he is just not ready for this stage yet.

I just fear that Germany & the Ronaldo + 10 are going to kill us on the counter.

I have absolute confidence that we will adjust our tactics and formations according to each World Cup matchup.

We won't have the most talent on the field in any game, but Klinsmann will have us prepared.

Bedoya has speed? He's more skill than athlete, yeah?

Johannsson and Green can run. Jozy is deceptively fast. Including Jozy and Bacon as wide players may be a stretch, but they interchange and go out wide a good bit. And Johannsson has the ability to cut in and make a killer pass or pick out a cross.

But to your point, our options at the wide mid/forward position aren't great. Our fullbacks (FJ,Beasley, or Yedlin, not Chandler) are some of our best wide players right now. I would hate to have to count on Zusi and whoever else is playing wide on the other side forced to defend some of these dudes we will be playing if our left or right back gets caught too far up field.

I said I'd give it a chance before I'd form an opinion on the leaving out Landon thing. But after 2 games, it's not looking good. We need someone off the bench besides just Johannsson. Green doesn't look ready. He almost looks timid, which is not what I thought we were getting with him.
