Movie theater in my area has a throwback showing on Sundays.

Last week it was BTTF, this week Raiders.

I just dunno if the movie setting would help it at all

Prob will go because I've never seen an old school film at a theater.

My folks had to drag me to see that in the theater. It looked so stupid to me. I knew I'd been wrong about 45 seconds into the movie.

Alliance Corridor north of Fort Worth, sorry

It's a nice new Cinemark.

Even has leather seats.

Cinemark has a classics series nationwide, including Perkins Row in BR. I've seen 2001 and The Shining there.

Wish I was in a point in my life to buy a house between the fact that rates are so low now and that urban infill is just going to make the dirt cheap new housing now only go up in price.

That aside:

It actually was a pretty good experience. There are definitely some shots that show the age with grainy resolutions.

And some shots that you notice things that you never would on TV...like a fly going in the Frenchman's mouth.

And I had no idea Alfred Molina had his screen debut in this film.

The scene where he is standing atop the hillside as the sun is setting, while his men dig up the ark... Wow

I saw Jaws there last year.

Seeing it on the big screen finally was awesome.

I saw it at a drive in when I was little. First movie I ever saw and it blew my mind. I had bad dreams about melting nazis though.

I was so pissed as a kid when I thought we were going to see Backdraft and my parents took me to see Forrest Gump instead. Nice surprise. Even at 7, I could appreciate the movie even though a lot of it was over my head.
