I have a love hate relationship with this movie, at the time it was the Barnum and Bailey principle that all news is good news. Watching it later I see how it was propaganda to fight the D&D community which bred the games we have now. Given it's target it is a good movie.

I remember this movie terrifying me as a kid. Hanks kept seeing monsters. For that reason, I have stayed away from cult card games my entire life.

I remember my mother freaking out over this movie because this was around the same time D&D was becoming popular at Holy Name.
