Windows 8.1...iphone 5s print to network printer issues

Starting with the windows 8.1 problem. I just upgraded to windows 8.1 and now I can't find my network printer. I did a printer search and nothing comes up. Is something in 8.1 blocking the communication between the two? There's nothing wrong with the printer because I can print from my Windows 7 computer, Nexus 7, and Galaxy S3 just fine. Any ideas?
Part 2....iPhone 5s also won't print to the network printer even though I set it up with Google Cloud Print (my printer is not AirPrint compatible) and have printed from it in the past. I can "send" it to the printer but somehow it never gets there. This isn't as big of a deal but it worked before so I want to get it going again. TIA
