On your laptop/phone, ??

Also, is it for everything you try to watch?

Do you have another device to test on to see if the issue is there as well?

If not, try pausing what you are trying to watch for 5-10 mins. Then scroll back and see if it's synced.

I'm going to say 9/10 times this is a connectivity issue.

I'm going to bed, so I'll give this last piece of advice.

Unplug your router, wait a few seconds and plug it back in. I think generally your A/V mismatch is probably due to a connectivity issue. This could be your ISP as well (it's FRI night at 11pm, usually when network guys mess with a network).

Uninstall silverlight, and then reinstall it. Anything Microsoft touches is prone to turn to shite.

yesterday I tried headphones plugged into my laptop but every time before that was just playing the movie or tv show out loud. It's been doing it ever since I started using netflix a couple of weeks ago.

yes, mriluv has been able to watch shows on netflix with no problem.

I'm going to uninstall Silverlight and see what that does. If that doesn't work, I guess I will try messing with the router next

ok, uninstalling and reinstalling Silverlight didn't work. It stays synced up for maybe 5 seconds.

Then it probably isn't a connectivity issue.

Couple of things to try:
1 - change the power plan on your laptop to high performance
2 - update your directx to the latest version
